Poydras Home and the New Orleans chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association have a long-standing relationship. Poydras Home staff has served on the local Advisory Council and participated in the Annual Memory Walk. Poydras Home has been instrumental in presenting education series and offering support groups in conjunction with the Association in an effort to educate and raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.

Poydras Home is an education site for the licensed practical nursing students from Delgado School of Nursing. Students receive hands-on training in caring for the geriatric population and their needs. Residents and students both enjoy the experience!
