Within the overall Poydras Home community, our original building houses assisted living and nursing care services. This one-story building has 54 private bedrooms, several activity areas and two separate dining rooms. Each residence can be personally decorated with favorite things, and each has a window overlooking a pleasing garden space.

At the heart of assisted living and nursing care at Poydras Home are care programs that far exceed industry standards. While care is provided in a homelike atmosphere, it is also thoroughly professional and reflective of the latest and most effective protocols and procedures. In addition to the physical care of residents in assisted living or nursing care, the staff pays special attention to the social, cultural, recreational and spiritual needs of residents.
