Volunteer at Poydras Home

Volunteers add an invaluable dimension to the experience our residents and PHASE Senior Day Program participants enjoy at Poydras Home. The time volunteers give, the services they render and the friendship they offer are an integral part of the achievement of our mission. While also satisfying service hours, volunteers receive a great deal back in appreciation from both residents and staff.

Volunteer opportunities include assisting our staff to accompany our residents on fun and varied off-campus outings such as restaurant dining, shopping and museum visits, helping our residents to navigate personal technology devices, assisting our Life Enrichment staff to conduct a wide variety of group activities on our campus and most importantly, visiting one-on-one with residents to chat about your personal travel experiences, your family, the news of the day and reading to a resident. We also welcome volunteers who wish to share their musical and artistic talents with our community.

To volunteer at Poydras Home you must be 16 years old or older.
