Three-story Garden House is home to independent living residents of Poydras Home. Ten nicely appointed one-bedroom apartments serve individuals and couples age 65 or older who have chosen to leave behind the responsibilities of caring for a private home and instead opt for a new level of freedom, ease and security. Independent living services include an evening meal served each day, weekly housekeeping, scheduled van trips for banking and shopping and more.

Each Garden House apartment features a fully equipped kitchen, a large bathroom with a tub shower combination, a walk-in closet and a living/dining room combination. Garden House has a dining/game room that can be used for community events and private parties. A spacious veranda overlooks the gardens, which can also be seen from the windows of many apartments. Garden House also offers private parking areas for its residents.
