Holiday Tree Lighting & Music Festival

Annual Fundraiser

Join us VIRTUALLY for our Third Annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Music Festival on December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. Poydras Home’s hallmark fundraiser extends the magic of the holiday season into our neighboring community.

This year’s virtual event will feature our celebratory outdoor tree lighting ceremony followed by two musical performances and two festive raffles! Visit Poydras Home’s Facebook page here or come to our website to view our virtual event on Thursday, December 2nd at 6:00 p.m. Raffle tickets can be purchased now until 7:45 p.m. that evening.

Last year’s tree shown brightly for more than 38 nights and brought much comfort and joy to our residents, families and the neighboring New Orleans community after a year of braving COVID-19. This year, with the emergence of the Delta variant and now, with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, Poydras Home is committed more than ever to partner with our patrons to deliver this spectacular illuminating event. Together we can warm the hearts and lift the spirits of our residents and the larger community this holiday season!

We are grateful for your support of Poydras Home’s annual fundraiser and we hope you will consider a corporate or individual patron sponsorship. For more information contact Vice President of Philanthropy Charlotte Thomas at 504-897-0535 /

Revisit our 2020 Second Annual Virtual Holiday Tree Lighting & Music Festival

In 2020 Poydras Home kept our new holiday tradition alive by lighting up the night with our holiday tree on the corner of Magazine Street and Jefferson Avenue beginning December 3 for the holiday season to offer hope, comfort and joy. Though we could not gather on the scenic front lawn due to the pandemic, we lit our holiday tree and virtually shared the celebration.

Our peace and goodwill this holiday season commemorated the Poydras Home Healthcare Heroes of 2020 and the residents they served while also showing our gratitude to all Greater New Orleans Healthcare Heroes.
